Mei Le, fine art artist and photographer. His fine art forms include installation, video, comprehensive materials, performance art, etc.
In 2008, he started his career as a professional photographer, explored between commerce service and art, persisted in working with a low-key and calm attitude in his own direction. He was invited to work for CHINA DAILY, TimeOut Beijing, Esquire China, etc. He was recognized and praised by the designer Franck Gehry for his unique way of thinking and working.
In 2010, he began his fine art career, at the beginning, his works were concept photography. He got rid of restriction, made videos, installations, and comprehensive materials.
In 2016, “Peach Blossom Land” was launched. He had prepared for this concept art project for two years, at last, through the online crowdfunding platform, it received 100,000 people’s attention and more than 1,000 people’s support.
In 2017, he was invited to hold a touring exhibition of “Peach Blossom Land” in Kunsthalle Darmstadt, Germany; NON Berlin; Warsaw Art Foundation, Poland; etc. This project will continue.
In 2018, he started his SLOGAN bag project in Beijing, which was inspired by artistic atmosphere of Berlin. He had rich experience of working with comprehensive materials for his fine art, so he made lots of experiments to improve the product development process by himself.
In 2020, the SLOGAN bag project was renamed to ACRYLISM, transitioning an art project to an art institute, which focuses on slogan research.
